Well...went to see Episode II with Matt, Vijay, and Jen. Super Mega Ugh!!! The script and especially the dialogue were just plain horrible. Yeah, as the reviews state, it was slightly better than Phantom Menace...but my god did it have bad moments.
And it never ended! It just went on and on and on...the pace of the whole film being this slow trodding boring retread of past sci-fi and fantasy from a hundred other stories. Ugh!!!
Best scene though...Anakin's Wet Dream sequence. I couldn't tell if he was having a bad wet dream or getting a really bad blow job.
At least the Yoda vs. Dooku battle was somewhat satisfying.
And while on the subject of Episode II...I came across this review by Dynagirl on Bressler.org that I must say...struck a cord in me. This girl definitely understands the needs of a 30-something who was influenced very heavily by Star Wars as a child.
"I just know that in "Star Wars," only three or four tie-fighters came after the Falcon when they escaped the Death Star, but that scene is still awesome to me."Attack of the Clones" has way more emotion and import than "Phantom Menace," but it also has a lot of those fake-looking obviously- computer-generated effects that we're supposed to believe look real because Lucas and all the Special Effects gurus and movie Directors keep telling us it's so. Give me a plastic model zooming across a cloth sky any day, matte lines and all. she says.
I couldn't agree more!

And yesterday...Cosmiverse had a great article on "The Conscious Mind May Be Electric". Great read.
