Basically today I have to wait until about 2pm for the first wave of staff to leave to change their monitors. So...I have nothing to do until 2 and it is only 9am. Ugh.
Hmm...have you noticed lately that my usual "ack" response has unintentionally evolved into a "ugh"? How the hell'd that happen?
Oh well. Perhaps I'll just use "ugack!"

Since I have so much time on my hands today... I decided to check on some of the blogs I usually read...
April Winchell's May 17 2002 blog has one of the funniest posts I've read....
How To Remain Attentive During Long Meetings - from listener Greg
Before (or during) your next meeting, seminar, or conference call... prepare your "Horseshit Bingo" card by drawing a square-- I find that 5"x 5" is a good size. Divide the card into columns--five across and five down.. That will give you 25, 1" blocks.
Write one of the following words/phrases in each block:
* 24/7
* benchmark
* value-added
* proactive
* win-win
* outside the box
* fast track
* result-driven
* empower/empowerment
* knowledge base
* out of the loop
* synergy
* strategic fit
* core competencies
* best practice
* bottom line
* revisit
* paradigm shift
* at the end of the day
* touch base
* mindset
* client focus(ed)
* ballpark
* game plan
* leverage
Check off the appropriate block when you hear one of those words/phrases.
When you get five blocks horizontally, stand up and shout "HORSESHIT!"
