So Giger is making dinner. Last night we went to Restaurant Japan and I completely killed my diet. I had this American-created Japanese dish called negimayaki which is essentially scallions rolled in a thin beef and covered in a relatively sweet teriyaki sauce. I'm rather fond of these actually. From what I've read, they are not remotely authentic Japanese cuisine, but they are quite balls yummy nonetheless.
Oh. And also had the oh so Japanese "Philly Roll". Sue me. I like the taste of the smoked salmon and rice in this one.
Still no luck finding anyone who makes takoyaki. *sigh*
