Fad diets all fade away. Only lifestyle changes is permanent. And a pain in the ass.

Geez... you'd have to be blind, deaf, and dumb not to see this one coming a mile away.

When the whole low carb diet fad kicked in to high gear and every fucking restaurant in the world started marketing supposedly low carb fare you could almost see the grim reaper throwing on his sweat pants to head on into the dieting world of love.

While there is some merit to a low carb diet the high fat and low vegetable content can't be good for a omnivorous primate. Of course, the typical 'Merican diet is not good for any living animal at all.

Lower calories, lower fat and sugars, and exercise are the keys.

At least for me so far.

And I share this with you free of charge. I will not market you meals, snacky cakes, recto-colon cleansing, hoont petting, or any other form of product.

I shall only off you advice.

If you are prone to uncontrolled weight due to genetics, your sloth-like lifestyle, or a combination of these, only changing the causes that result in the effects will help you. No magic. No fad diet. Only you and your mind and your hurty knees from running after not doing it for years.

Now I shouldn't talk about such things because I have 69 lbs to my final goal weight and then I'll have the lifetime fight of maintaining that. And staying off cigarettes (135 days nicotine free now). And reducing plastic crack consumption.

When I can maintain my goal weight for 2 years I'll have some virtual weight to throw around and share my secrets.

And I realized this morning what has really helped me stay focused and lose weight and not smoke and it isn't pretty at all.

Well... not pretty but more like not "fun and exciting" like a fad diet where you can say "I'm going low-carb!" or "Look at her, she's on Atkins" blah blah blah.
