I was going to blog about how happy Number Six is with his new 5 gallon acrylic aquarium but then I noticed that it isn't as happy as it should be.
My first ever crab, known affectionately as The Crab of Doom, was dead at the bottom of his tank. He's seen here during better days fighting with one of the snails for an algae wafer.
His antics gave me hours of pleasure. And while he was a bit of an asshole to the Corys and the Danios, and especially to the late and much missed Number Six Point Seven, he still has a place in my heart.
Sad. Very sad. And I hope it wasn't something I did or didn't do. The tank was due for a gravel cleaning and water change. The water doesn't seem to have affected the other denizens so I just don't know.
He was buried in the back next to a tiny arborvitae.

I'll be lookng for homes for some of my Platy offspring in the next few weeks. If you think Number Six would like a tankmate, let me know.

I didn't know you had babies?
They may be a little too small though. I'm pretty sure Number Six consumed the still missing Number Six Point Six and a ghost shrimp.

The Platies have become baby factories, but with better conditions than the Cylon facility on Kobol. I have anywhere from 14-18 now, it's hard to get an accurate count.
How large is #6? The largest of the babies are just under an inch now, but they're growing quickly.

Sorry, that was Caprica, not Kobol.

That may work. Six Point Six was so tiny that Six probably just devoured him hole.

Mebbe in a couple of weeks they'll be ready to leave home. Just remember to read them bedtime stories every night.
