Day 102 - Etchy Etchy Etchy

Day 102 - Etching half of the floor!

I spent another hour scraping the southeast part of the back room, trying to remove all loose cement from the cracks and other debris.

I then poured the Drylock Etch crap down and worked it in with a stiff acid broom.

I should have done the whole thing at once but I really didn't know what to expect.

Tomorrow I'll etch the other side and possibly some areas already done that have crap that will not come off.

Wednesday I'll wirebrush and clean the cracks some more and then meticulously fill them in with hydraulic cement.

Thursday will be the 2 coats of drylock to seal the cement/cracks and then Friday I can do the first thinned coat of enamel paint.

Saturday will be the 2nd final unthinned coat and that room can be totally put back together Monday and I can start cleaning up the next half of the basement.

Did you call the floor "Dawn", and berate it for taking Gator away, before throwing the acid on it?
