naladahc | tripping along the golden path

So I came home Monday, changed clothes, and as I've done for so long, descended the stairs into the basement.

And as I started cleaning cobwebs and reinstalling some insulation on the duct work, I was hit with this massive wave of depression.

I just never seem to make any progress and complete this!

I just stood there and I just felt like I'd been doing this shit for years.

And for a second I just wanted to cry.

But no. I called my realtor and asked her to come over and help me refocus.

She came over about an hour later and we walked the house, going over what I'd done and where I should actually focus my efforts now.

So.

Priorities changed.

I'm going to scrub the aluminum siding on the front porch and paint it to make the front of the house as pleasing as possible.

I'm going to scrape the old gutter and drain in the back and repaint that. Though quite frankly, it probably wouldn't cost much to replace it with a vinyl one.

I'm going to clean up the tub and recaulk it.

I'm going to lightly stain and Liquid Gold the kitchen cabinet doors and add a piece of wood next to the dishwasher.

I may roughen up the bathroom vanity and paint it.

And I'm going to finish the touch-up paint on the ceilings.

That should be it.

And I have to have it all done by June 20.
