*sigh*
I don't know what happened.
I went to feed the fish and I saw my large Cory floating belly up.
The danios were fine. The crab was fine. The snail was fine.
I lifted the lid to remove him and when I felt the water I knew something was wrong.
It was hot!
Not the usual mid 70s warm but hot!
I quickly looked at the thermometer and the water temperature was over 100 degrees!
I frantically started looking for the smaller Cory and I found it dead in a plant.
I have no idea if the thermostat on the heater broke or what but something horrible happened.
I'm surprised the other fish, mollusk, and crustacean weren't affected by the temperature.
I turned the heater off. Everything that survived can handle "room temperature".
*sigh*
