I can't wait to be done with the foyer to stairwell project so I can begin renovating what will be the future home of the plastic crack.

I literally haven't touched this room since I moved in in October, other than to throw more boxes of shit in it.

This room shouldn't take so long to redo.

Well... to find new furniture and proper crack shelving?

That's another story.

Even Carly had curves!

So after catching a bit of The Grammy's the other night. I realized that Beyoncé actually has some curves.

Now Howard was complaining that she was fat yesterday and I just couldn't disagree more.

I'm really rather sick of girls and women who seem to want to have the physiques of 11-year-old boys.

I'm finding that the "Golden Age of Hollywood" female form, regardless of how fake and propagandist it is, is really what I find attractive on a woman.

Lauren Bacall had it. Rita Hayworth had it. Betty Grable (above) had it. Ann Miller had it.

Many others had it.

There's some T. There's some A. And quite frankly... it is all woman!

Now I'm not implying there's anything wrong with being skinny or even plump if that's where your body tends to be. I mean, I live my life in a constant battle with the size of my gut and ass!

But the pop culture of the late 1960s gave us the almost emaciated girl as the standard and for 30 years girls and women have been way too heavily influenced by it. (Though Audry Hepburn, while skinny, totally had it in a different way!)

I demand curves on my women dammit!

Though I'd like 'em to be as sultry as Grace Kelly in Rear Window too!

Man did she ooze the sult!

Ugh! Crappy Day!

So a lot of the long distance employees seem to be calling off today.

Obviously the roads are bad but I didn't think it was anything to close school over or get worked up about.

Growing up in Glass City in the 1970s and 1980s gave me a basic understanding of frozen precipitates that these central and southern Cowlanders just don't get.

Yes. We had snow days then.

However, if memory still serves me, me had snow days for definite 4+ inches and low visibility.

Here? You get a light dusting of snow... a dandruff so to speak... and they call off.

It really is laughable sometimes.

Some of my coworkers though drive, on a good day, an hour or so to work so these kinds of slightly icy/snowy days always throw wrenches into their lives.

And on top of now being short staffed, I was prepping disposal pallets of old network printers and took a nice slice out of my right hand little finger pad. Not a cut mind you... but shearing off of a good chunk of epidermis.

And of course, my back still hurts.

I swear I'm not at 4 days a week where I feel ok and 3 where I feel like to total shit.

I suppose feeling adequate more than 50% of the time is something I should be happy with.

But now... I'm gonna have to wear a vinyl glove to scrub and clean tonight.

While I usually wear vinyl or latex gloves to paint, I prefer to not do so when I clean.

Oh well.

Such is my Nalalife.

Damn!

Some days it is 60.

Others it is 8.

Most days it is rain.

Some surprisingly snow.

Foyer/Stairs/Hallway - Day 16 - Final crown molding painting.

I did a 3rd and final coat of paint on the foyer crown molding.

It really should dry 24 hours before I tape it to clean up the wall color and make a fake nice line.

I'll probably spend an hour or two cleaning the unpainted trim, floors, and steps.

Giga got the dual light switch cover for the hallway and special ordered the triple switch cover plate for the foyer.

Now I just need to find a light fixture for the hallway.

Perhaps we can run out today and look. Then again, I'm always so tired by 6.

So yesterday was an off day here.

We went over the Fab Jen's for Souper Tuesday.

So I got 3 coats on the trim and baseboards upstairs in the hallway today.

Tomorrow will be all about removing more tapes and starting on the floor scrubbing to clean up as much bits of paint as possible.

What's sad is I'll actually be cleaning up more mess from the previous owners than my own.

I've manage to time it right so I can go out to Mr. and Mrs. T's tomorrow for Souper Tuesday and let the walls set for 2 days.
